Hey! So excited to see you guys live again here in Seattle after so long! The virtual tour helped get our kids, 3 and 6, interested in you guys and I can’t wait for my youngest to finally attend his first concert! My husband and I went to your first show back at the Wilma after years of not playing Montana and we haven’t missed you in Seattle since we moved here 11 years ago.
For song requests, I would cry happy tears hearing “Rise to Me,” since my 6 year old is also autistic and it was the first time it felt like someone understood us. For a happier request, my 3 year old loves “Down by the Water” so much that he hears your songs and goes “it’s the water song!” regardless of what song it actually is.

We’re staying at a BNB and the room is called “The Shiraz Room” which I feel like is the most Decemberist thing I could do to prepare for this concert.

Hi all! I'll be at Vienna for my 20th show! I was really excited originally when my 20th show would have coincided with the 20th anniversary tour in 2020...but we all know what happened then. Excited to finally see everyone again this summer! I'm super hoping to hear After the Bombs, as I've never caught it live and it feels very apropos for this tour.

My partner and I just moved across the country from Bethlehem, PA to Seattle. This morning I realized you were gonna be in Seattle tonight and bought last minute tickets. I’m thrilled!! Especially because I got Philly tickets months ago but now probably can’t go unless I find a miraculous cheap flight. Can’t wait for later! Would love to hear The Island, Oceanside, and/or Carolina Low. Can’t express enough how excited I am to see y’all again after four years.

I was at the Troutdale show last night. It was amazing and so great to see you all. ❤️ Thank you. You guys have been consistently there for me through many hard times and I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate it.
hey Colin! *so* excited to see you and the crew at Surly. know there’s a lot of exhaustion around The Mariner’s Revenge Song, but if you do come around to it during the tour, would absolutely die to hear it in MN, as I’ve never been able to hear it live and that song holds a special place in my heart as my introduction to The Decemberists. (I also would love to scream “whale” louder than I ever have while singing along).

(Judiciously) this 30 year old kid who was lucky enough to see their first Decemberists show at 14 (& who will be sentimentally sporting their appallingly well-worn tour shirt from said show) would be over the moon if you played Wanting Comes in Waves Reprise & Hazards 4! Would also enthusiastically settle for Bus Mall, (which I’ve always hoped you might just play at all Portland shows as you often so wonderfully do Grace Cathedral for us in the Bay).

On a Sad note my mom passed last week and this'll be one of the first joyous things I'm doing since her passing.
