These post are great, now if you could just include some quick like 5 or 10 hour videos to really highlight the process it would really round it out. Feel free to include new material, we won’t leak it I swear
I'm wondering how much doubt a song can carry with it and make it onto an album. Are all of them done? Or do you get to a "screw it, good enough" point?
New Adventures in Hi-Fi is outstanding too and was recorded on the road. It can sometimes be the over thinking and tweaking that can lose the edge. Polished and refined is often not better.
Feel privileged to be a part of this right from the start. Following from NW England but there with you. What a fascinating process. Thank you so much for letting us in.
Drooling over the way you write about this part of it all. Thank you for sharing the journey. So much fuel in here for my own creative process in the way you talk about how you navigate all the phases.
Thank you so much for this studio diary, hope you will continue it when you next go in. If you need some fresh ears on those tracks in your Dropbox I’m sure everyone here would be nuts for it! 😃

Accidentally booked a flight 🤣🤣
This is absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much for giving us a glimpse inside. I love this stuff! It's all about the process, man!

The work and self doubt are real. It makes me marvel even more how REM recorded Reckoning in two weeks.

Did they really? I didn’t know that. So impressive

Thank you for these diary bits, both the tour and the studio sessions. They’re a real treasure.
I enjoy the fluid writing about the creative process that is often sticky at best.
Hey Colin - thank you for taking the time to take note, and share this with all of us. It’s nice to be let in on the process a bit
