The only other new wave band I could think of that incorporated albeit only one folk instrument was one song by The The: This is the Day. But it was accordion.....so there is that. Thanks for that rabbit hole Mr. Meloy.

Very cool to hear the drums are going to be open and “roomy” with the mic placement. I’ve been a drummer for over 20 years and I’ve always been fond of letting the drums and the room speak.

I once saw the folk singer/songwriter Mare Wakefield and her other half was playing accordion at the show. He opened with a joke: what’s the difference between an accordion and a condom?

The condom is only 99% effective
