I placed our tree in a large flower planter on our back patio so we are able to enjoy for months to come ( living in Oregon's Willamette Valley, allows the constant watering.)
I have always loved The Sting. Thanks for the reminder of what a great movie it is. I will definitely watch Petite Maman. We lost our daughter two years ago, so I think all the subject matter that are in the movie you described will resonate with us.
Reading this reminded me about my Dad . My dad and I had almost no converging passions . His: cars/hunting/fishing/. Mine : movies/art/literature. He worked 24/7 and except for vacations there was never time for fun things or if there were I would have to concede to go fishing or skeet shooting or a car race , things I dislike but to spend time with him meant doing what he liked. I have to say “The Sting” was the only movie we saw together and, of course, he loved it. Talked about it endlessly . And it was one of the few things that I liked to do. He was uneducated (8th grade) but a genius . Thank you for reminding me of him. Yes and thank you for Astoria concert!
I need to consider Write or Die. But I would rather watch a movie, so am off to find Petite Maman. (Our tree is also standing in our living room, sans decorations. The cats are napping beneath it; I will wait.)
