Some supplementary imagery for your reading pleasure
My son and I started the book on Wednesday. His review so far: “Do we find out what a Betamax is?”
I will continue to let him think the Betamax is a rare, magical artifact with unknown power.
I miss the west coast!
I can’t like this enough; what a wonderful post! Happy birthday, you two; I’m glad you got to spend it together in a place like this 😌
Love your posts and your music, Mr. Meloy. One grammatical/usage correction in this latest:
When I was twelve, my mom took my sister and I on a roadtrip down the Oregon coast.
That sentence should be corrected to: When I was twelve, my mom took my sister and ME on a roadtrip...
If you break it down, "my mom took my sister and my mom took me." she would not take I. (this mis-use of object/pronouns is a pet peeve.)
I knew it ! Kept thinking Manzanita whilst reading said book. Love our coast . How can you not.
My sister lived in Ashland for a little while!
Love the gloomy, eerie, misty-ness of these photos.
Happy birthday to both of you!
I am about mid-way through (so good!), and these photos are a perfect accompaniment. Fantastic imagery in the written word, these conjure up exactly what was in my mind’s eye. Happy belated birthday to you both!
