I’m kinda hoping the minute you offer something extra special for founding members it’s still possible to upgrade. Meanwhile, I’m very happy to be a paid annual subscriber. Ugh, the nitty gritty is always so nitty...
Don't put too much pressure on yourself to share in real time. By observing we'd change things. I'd rather you be free to create and just give us a peek behind the curtain at the end.
I want used or perhaps I should say try to use panoply but added a syllable so it kind of rhymed with monopoly. Two people were in the room with me one of them broke out laughing and I was so embarrassed, I was kind of showing off so I deserved it and I’ve never brought myself to use the word in public again
Hi Jenny, there's a great album by Washed Out called Paracosm. It was where I first heard this beautiful word. If I may suggest it to you, take a listen to it on a Sunday morning :)
Psyched to see this new content - similar to some comments here I wasn’t sure what becoming a *Founding Member* might entail so I signed up yearly…if there is any incremental benefit…llama blog, best ways to clean eyeglasses…whatever - I’d be likely to upgrade
Just this weekend I started writing my first song by accidentally stumbling upon your first two chords from Devil's Elbow. You're a huge inspiration to me.
glad to be onboard. I feel in some small way, I have a taste of what it's like to be in the Decemberists: my two year old son requires I sing the Mariner's Revenge Song almost every night to sleep by. I _may_ be the only human to have sung it as much as you.
Glad to be a new paying member. I am really looking forward to the lyrics analysis. Thanks so much for answering my question about On The Bus Mall during the Mandolin stream night 1. My friend and I really love your music.
There's no special stuff for the founders beyond my sincere gratitude. As yet -- maybe in future? I'll keep you guys posted -- this is a work in progress after all.
Really excited for this! Was just thinking last week how much I'd like to see the writing process especially with how many songs are full-blown stories
Hi everyone! Thanks for joining & subscribing!
Love this - I'm a fan of anything that lets me support the artists I love directly.
Completely agree! Really looking forward to the space

Thanks for having us! Glad to support you directly.
Super excited for this! Really gives an interesting vibe from the get go.

Oh Colin, always giving us a new vocabulary word!
Paracosm:
1. (noun) a prolonged fantasy world invented by children; can have a definite geography and language and history/
I still haven't found a good time to use "Panoply"!
I want used or perhaps I should say try to use panoply but added a syllable so it kind of rhymed with monopoly. Only ever use it while singing that song. Paddy McAloon of Prefab Sprout was another one: Never used 'tuppentup' in a sentence but I sing it a lot.
I had to look up "proserpina" and "patina" from "A record year for rainfall"!
I try to use "heckaslammin'" on the regular, but it's still not often enough. :)

You looked it up so I didn't have to.
I really enjoyed the Mandolin Streams...and would gladly pony up for more more of those!
Loved the streams!!
What a delight! Couldn't sign up fast enough! Even gifted my Bandit King (husband) a subscription, so he wouldn't use mine :)
And he thanks you m'lady...

Llama blog! That's top tier content there

Those are good chords & they belong to everyone!
Hmm, was it worth it just to get an email that says "Welcome to The Machine"? Maybe.
Tranquillo...
I also would like to know what the perks are (if any) for founding members. And I love this idea.

Very much looking forward to this.

Very excited for this! Is there anything special you receive if you pay for the founding member subscription?

According to Colin’s Twitter there will be lots of goodies for the paid subscription!
Thank you Colin, what a great idea.
My son was asking just the other day if there was a new Wildwood book. One day?
Would do founders to hear a full work up of Dracula’s Daughter.
Thanks for doing this... and for nudging me a little closer to burning all my social media accounts in a big bonfire

Excited to be here!
