Speaking of radio - there’s still no sign of your KEXP performance on their YouTube page. Did that not wind happening or does it just take longer than I think for them to post stuff ?
I was the gentleman in Philadelphia who asked Jenny a question during the VIP portion of The Fillmore show. I thank the people around me for not being angry with me with how I respond to live music, but Colin, I want to thank you personally here for calling out to everyone to give it up for Jenny. I truly think she is an incredible musician. All of you are but her endurance to play accordion the way she does has always made me flap. Thank you for making music that draws an inclusive and accepting audience.
My very first non-retail experience was working at WXPN when I was 16 years old. A lifetime ago. I worked with David Dye on the World Café show as a summer internship and it galvanized my love of all things non-comm music. One of the best times of my life. It was right around the time I discovered the Ds. I got to help run an Indigo Girls event and to me they were the biggest celebrities on Earth. So cool to see you keep crossing paths with WXPN after all these years.
The couple that mentioned Hazards 4 was their wedding song made the pre-show even more impactful. Was awesome hearing that and The Reapers for the first time. Loved the Philly show overall and the streamed performance at WXPN yesterday. Any thoughts of doing a ticketed streamed concert at one of the upcoming dates like the last time?
Hard to believe that 17 years ago you were playing dinky little Grantham, PA, at a Christian college campus with My Brightest Diamond opening for you. I still have the set list from that night, framed in my office.
The actual original Fillmore still exists in San Fran Frisco, rebuilt, retrofitted, etc. Yes, sadly, it is run by LN.
Did you catch the Broadcast Demos releae this week? I know you're a fan so wanted to make sure you knew because of the tour. Starts sublimely and gets better! How are these just demos???
Thrilled to read this as we traveled from the other Portland to DC for the show tonight. My husband and I danced to Hazards 4 for our first dance and it even being mentioned in your post made my day. See y'all tonight.
Hazards 4 makes me sob uncontrollably each and every time. I actually think it’s worse as I get older. I have to be very aware of my surroundings when it shows up in a shuffle play.

It's coming out later, closer to the record release date (june 14)
wondering the same - I reached out to 2 different DJ's but didn't hear back!
Wouldn’t it make most sense for this to come out around the time either of the album release or close to the woodland park shows?

"How long will we be in Pennsylvania" - Me, for the first 24 years of my life. Can't wait to see you guys in Durham tomorrow <3
Also I caught you calling Philly the May 10th show, I hope the guy who got the date for the Durham show wrong sees too XD

Oh my god, I was at that concert at Messiah. What even is time???
I was there too! It was my first show. I still think about how crazy it was that I could have reached out and touched them and the stage was so tiny.
Ahhhh!!!
IIRC you tried to reenact the battle of Gettysburg with the audience during the Mariner's Revenge Song. I'd never been so delighted.
Really enjoying your tour diary! Can't wait to see you at your home show in Portland!!
Reapers was the other song in the Philly VIP!

Lose the eyebrows, you know you want to!
Tell Funk if you need Portland coffee beans. I’ll deliver them to Austin next week.
Also just discovered Brigitte Calls Me Baby. Big fan.

A whole lot of nothing—except the composing of this diary! How long do you spend each day composing?
What’s the Chalmon situation on the tour so far?
Very very dapper sans mustache
Did you lay your mustache upon Edward Hicks' grave before exiting Pennsylvania?
Love me some Pittsburgh.
