Studio Diary Part 10

Let’s be honest, here, folks. Keeping up with this diary is no easy feat. I’m now a couple days out, trying to remember things that happened days prior. I’m going to keep it up, but there may be some entries that are more fully-formed than others.

Anyway, here it is, Wednesday. Or it was Wednesday, anyway. I imagine it was raining in the morning but the commute was fairly smooth. We all spent the evening with the rough mixes from the day and I had a chance to perseverate on this song, “Never Satisfied,” a little more. Thankfully, when I arrive at the studio, everyone else has done the same. It’s always a good sign when people are ready to engage first thing — a song might appear irredeemable, but it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t continue to hack away at it.
