Machinists: I wanted to give you first heads-up about the tour for The Stars Did Wander Darkling, my new book. There’ll be fewer amp heads and lighting rigs and misbehaving pedal boards on this tour, but a lot more conversation. I imagine I’ll be reading a bit from the book, discussing the book with regional notables, and signing your copy of the book. It’s a bit brief, and it’s likely that your city is not among the five that are scheduled, but that’s how it is with book tours, you know.

Strange, I live in Beaverton now but grew up in the small (back then) town of Petaluma, CA... what are the odds? The downtown Copperfields there has that very traditional bookstore feel, or maybe that’s just cuz that’s the bookstore I think of when I think of bookstores!
I'll be going to the one in Portland!!! I'm so excited!!!!!
